I've been dancing around this for a long time now, and not since before launch have I addressed this issue directly. With the Heroic Strike finally getting matchmaking, that is still seven top-tier pieces of content that require premade groups to complete. With a complete and utter lack of in-game group-finding tools, fans have created countless sites like DestinyLFG which aim to assemble groups to complete these activities. Destiny – Message Board
Say what you will about the recent live action trailer , but its arrival means we are just days away from getting our hands on Destiny. After more than a years worth of teases, news post, hands-on demos , and betas , it's finally time for Bungie's shooter to hit store shelves. However, even though Destiny is nearly upon us that doesn't mean the folks at Activision can't squeak a few more promotional materials in. When Bungie first began talking about endgame content for Destiny , they did so in a very obtuse manner. They revealed that the endgame raids would not support matchmaking and they would change up the gameplay significantly when compared to the core Destiny experience, but tried to save the big reveals for when the game launched. Needless to say, gamers were intrigued by what they were hearing, but were also a bit reticent at the thought of tackling something that sounded so challenging. Then, when word broke that the first teams to beat the Vault of Glass raid took about 12 hours to do so, it seemed our fears were realized. Bungie had delivered on their promise of making the raids uber challenging.
